  3. Incident Summary • Nov. 17 Gov. Schwarzenegger requests a federal disaster declaration. • Nov. 18 a Presidential major disaster declaration is issued for four counties. • Nov. 28 amendment provides for permanent work in categories C-G for three counties.

  4. Joint federal and state teams BARTs assess flooding and debris and mud flow threats and determine state and local areas of responsibility. Deployments: Tea Fire: 11/21. Completed. Sayre Fire: 12/2. In progress. Freeway Complex: 12/2. In progress. Burn Area Recovery Teams (BARTs)

  5. Nov. 18: LACs opened in Orange and Santa Barbara counties. Nov. 20: LAC opened in Los Angeles County. Dec. 2: LACs transitioned to FEMA DRCs. Dec. 2: More than 2,079 people have visited the LACs/DRCs. Local Assistance Centers (LACs)Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs)

  6. Official Visits • Nov. 24: FCO and SCO participate in briefing with the Los Angeles County Emergency Manager. • Nov. 24: FEMA briefs the staff of Rep. Brad Sherman. • Nov. 25: FCO and SCO accompany Rep. Capps on a tour of the Santa Barbara LAC/MDRC. Rep. Lois Capps, right, visits the Santa Barbara LAD/DRC.

  7. FEMA CR teams have visited 920 residents of the four designated counties. Community Relations CR at the Oakridge MHP CR has met face-to-face with 401 residents of the Oakridge Mobile Home Park in Sylmar. CR in Santa Barbara
