CHECKLIST FLOWS. The main purpose of a FLOW is provide a safe, time efficient manner to start and operate the airplane using a pattern to follow. ALL flows are done from memory and should always be verified by the FAA checklist found in the PIM (Pilot Information Manual). STARTING ENGINE FLOW.

CHECKLIST FLOWS The main purpose of a FLOW is provide a safe, time efficient manner to start and operate the airplane using a pattern to follow. ALL flows are done from memory and should always be verified by the FAA checklist found in the PIM (Pilot Information Manual)
Fuel Selector • Verify On
Parking Brake • Set
Verify OFF (pushed in) Alternate Air
Fuel Boost Pump Mode Switch • Verify Set to AUTO *note: lever-lock switch (must pull out on switch before placing in desired position)
Master Switch (ALT & BAT) • ON *note: ALT FAIL light will illuminate until engine is running
Annunciator Lights • Push down to test *note: Verify ALT FAIL, STARTER ENGAGED & PITOT HEAT lights illuminate
VM1000 • Volts>11.4 / Amps 0 / • Oil & Fuel Pressure 0 *note: oil & fuel pressure may have values if residual pressure exists
FADEC B & FADEC A Power Switch • ON *note: lever-lock switch (must pull out on switch before placing in desired position)
Ignition Key • Turn to Left (L) and listen for Fuel Boost Pump *note: fuel pressure should read approx. 30-32psi on VM1000
Health Status Annunciator (HSA) • Push to TEST/ set to HIGH *note: Verify all HSA lights and WOT light illuminate
Throttle • Full Forward, Verify WOT light ON • Back to stop, ¼” open
Throttle • 1000 RPM
Lights Landing Light- ON / Strobes- ON / Position Lights- as required Cockpit Rheostat Switches Set to desired intensity
VM 1000 Verify within limits
Avionics Master • ON
Flaps verify 0 degrees
Standby Transponder Flight Instruments/ Comm / Nav Aids- CHECK/SET
Fuel Boost Pump Mode Switch As required
YOU HAVE NOW SUCCESSFULLY STARTED THE AIRPLANE AND ARE READY TO TAXI OUT TO THE RUN UP AREA
