Behaviour Examples • In India it’s very normal to have physical contact with someone you don’t know when walking down the street • In Islamic culture the right hand is used for food and the left hand is used for when in the bathroom and cleaning • Reason: The right hands of thieves and other criminals are punitively amputated. It was inconvenient but he or she is thereby virtually excluded from many social interactions.
