  1. EQ: WHAT IS SUNLIGHT?

  2. Photon Absorption and Emission Photon Continuous stream of photons (light) emitted by energized vibrating electrons. Wavelengths of light depends on energy quantum of fall-back. Vibrating charges interact to make magnetic field too, so photons are electromagnetic (em) waves. All emitted wavelengths create em spectrum.

  3. Kirchoff’s Laws

  4. Emission and Absorption Line Spectrum for H Emission lines are the photons given off by specific electrons making specific fall-backs. Continuous spectrum from solar fusion Absorption lines from elements in solar “atmosphere” (photosphere and chromosphere)

  5. Solar Radiation Spectral analysis of light can indicate composition, temperature, and radial velocity of celestial bodies.

  6. Local Group of galaxies (45) Milky Way How did our Sun form?

  7. The Solar “Furnace” Fusion occurs in the core… through the proton-proton chain reaction H fusion at 15,000,000 K, T for He to fuse up to Fe in star cores. Star temperature and size and size response to Fg collapse and outward fusion force.

  8. Stellar evolution determined by initial mass of star

  9. H-R animation Hertzsprung-Russell (H-R) Diagram H-R Hubble animation
