  2. Introduction We have gathered here today to worship God God gave us some DEMANDS for proper worship These DEMANDS are seen in our text

WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of the majesty of God Isaiah 6:1-2 1 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. 2 Above it stood seraphim; each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew.

WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of the majesty of God 2 kings 22:10 because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the Lord when you heard what I spoke against this place and against its inhabitants, that they would become a desolation and a curse, and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you," says the Lord.

  5. WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of the majesty of God Revelation 4:8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!" WE MUST REMEMBE WHO GOD IS – Creator, Powerful, Eternal

  6. WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of His holiness Isahai 6:3 And one cried to another and said: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!" Moses @ burning bush – Holy Ground His name is HOLY, Word is HOLY

  7. WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of His holiness Habakkuk1:13 You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, And cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously, And hold Your tongue when the wicked devours A person more righteous than he?

  8. WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of His holiness We must strive to be holy Leviticus 19:1-2 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 "Speak to all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say to them: 'You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.

  9. WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of the sinfulness of man Isaiah 6:5 So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts."

  10. WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of the sinfulness of man We are sinful beings Romans 3:10 Romans 3:23 1 John 5:19 If we claim to be sinless we have no truth in us (See 1 John 1:8)

WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of divine cleansing Isaiah 6:6-7 6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. 7 And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged."

  12. WORSHIP DEMANDS: An awareness of divine cleansing Psalm 51 Blot out my transgression Wash me, I shall be whiter than snow Blot out my iniquities Create in me a right spirit, O God What can wash away my sins?

  13. WORSHIP DEMANDS: That obedient service be rendered to God Isaiah 6:8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me."

  14. WORSHIP DEMANDS: That obedient service be rendered to God Samuel – Speak Lord, I hear (1 Samuel 3:10) We must be in tune with God's will God is still looking for servants Worship must produce action!

  15. CONCLUSION What is the Lord's will for us? • Be aware of the Majesty of God • Think about His holiness • Remember we are sinners • Understand that God cleanses us • God expects service
