Transmitter Power Supply • Block Description • Is an electrical device that transforms the standard wall outlet electricity (AC) into the lower voltages (DC). • Will supply voltage to both the Analog to Digital converter (ADC) and the Infrared transmitter (IR Transmitter). IR Transmitter and Receiver • Block Description • Transmit 2 channels of digital audio to their respective IR receiver/amplifier. • Receives 16 bits of serial data from the ADC block per channel (left and right). • Be able to transmit the signals 25 feet to IR receiver. IR Transmitter Design Infrared Emitter Driver 16 bit serial data sent via Infrared Emitter (950 nm) Digital Audio sampled at 44.1 kHz 16 bit serial data ADC 0 1 0 1 0 1 0 The input is a series of 0’s and 1’s from the ADC block.
