  2. Nearly 100 eligible students (“sophomores”) • Distributed across the Art curriculum • One day to view +/- 1,500 projects

  3. ePortfolio: 2 weeks prior to Portfolio Review • Preview work, assess transcripts • Read statements of intent

  4. ePortfolio theme redesigned • Neutral gray background, minimized banner • Students enrolled in eP D2L site via online form

  5. Specific max height, max width for images • .jpg or .gif file format • Project objectives and design rationale required

  6. Required Graphic Design projects • From introductory courses • Examples of a few of the required projects

  7. Optional work from other studio courses • Work that couldn’t be brought to the review • Full range of media

  8. ePortfolio allowed us to assess students’: • Ability to follow instructions • Ability to properly edit and format digital images • Writing skills and written communication • Inventive problem-solving skills • Formal design skills • Research and design process skills • Ability to engage concepts underlying design • Experimentation, engagement with art media
