0 Bringing Deaf Students into Geoscience Research • Table-top sandboxes provided for schools to validate PI’s computer models of fault development. • Three in-class projects done by students to create, analyze, discuss and present scientific data to investigate active faults: • Analog modeling of fault growth • Locating faults using seismicity • Characterizing subsurface faults from ground movement • Summer geology field trips for students • Participation by students in the annual meeting of the Southern California Earthquake Center
