  1. Make Your Brand Identity Special A brand is a name, term, design, symbol, or other features that distinguishes an organization or product from its rivals in the eyes of the customer. Brand is one of the most important aspects of any business. Therefore, Brand Identity can be explained with the visible elements of a brand such as (colour, logo and design) which distinguish the brand in the brain of the customers. For example, coca cola runs its branding campaign near the beach as their brand will become more popular near the beach as customers can relate beach with the coca cola. This component is an element of brand identity. Brand Personality has Five Dimension The big five personality traits which confine the categories of identity are 1. Sincerity Good faith, lack of deceit, integrity, probity, trustworthiness. 2. Excitement Animation, enthusiasm, eagerness, anticipation, feverishness. 3. Competence Talent, bent, aptitude, artistry, virtuosity.

  2. 4. Sophistication Culture, civilization, polish, smoothness. 5. Ruggedness Outdoorsy, tough and strength How to Develop a Brand Identity A product or brand functions very similarly to that of a person. When you think of a person in your mind you also think of good qualities they carry. For example honest, outgoing, disciplined, humorous, frustrating. As we know these qualities can be positive or negative. Giving a humorous label to a person because they shared an experience with you that was funny or you’ll label someone frustrating when they don’t try to understand. All this works with brands as well, one should describe all the traits and characteristics to promote brand identity. Then start taking actions on the target consumers so one can discover all the characteristics and relate all these traits to your brand. Branding Elements All the physical attributes of a brand such as name, design, logo, font etc. are called branding elements. Once your traits are established then you can easily represent your brand physically. For example, for a sporty brand one will go for bright colors with modern fonts and a trendy logo, as opposed to a conservative fashion brand will come up with a very formal name. Today customers are very intuitive therefore branding element and brand identity should sync together so it gives a right message to the customers and should be rightly interpreted by the market. Using a Voice A 'voice' in this branding context refers to using of communication tools effectively and efficiently so it promotes brand identity and elements in the market. Basically, voice is how you interact with the audience and how they relate. All the radio commercials, images presented in the advertisements are some techniques that are used. Again the voice should match the traits or characteristics and the audience should not get a mixed message. Write a Branding Guidelines Document Branding guidelines document is a document where voice, brand elements and brand identity is clearly written so it gives a brief idea about the brand from design, exact colors, images, sizing, backgrounds and tag lines. For a brand to be strong and successful consistency plays a vital role so that customers don’t get mixed messages. There’s a lot of competition in the market so it’s very important that the business makes their message more accurate so when a customer’s responds, they interpret the message positively and correctly. Every business should have a unique brand identity which is appealing to their customers and the personality of the brand stands out from the crowd.
