Problem Faith works 12 hours a day 5 days a week. She makes 30 dollars a hour. How much money does she make in one week? What about 10 weeks?
Equation 12 5 30 X = Y
Function Notation 12 30 X 5 = F(X)
Function My graph is a function because it passes the vertical line test.
Domain and Range Domain=x Weeks Range =y Money My data is continuous because Faith can work half a hour.
Independent and dependent variable The amount of money she makes depends on the amount of hours she works. I=money D= hours
Conclusion For every week she works, she makes $1600. She can also work half a week or maybe even 10 hours a week.
