  4. Description of Career • Normally when you go to the dentist, there is that one person who cleans your teeth. This is the Dental Assistant. The person who comes at the end is the actual Dentist. • Dental Assistants do come in contact with the patients, but they also work with other stuff too. Dental Assistants are also the ones who answer the phone calls, schedule appointments, greet patients, process in-office payments, and ordering/ retrieving office supplies.
