Globalization The way that various areas around the world are connected: through the flow of capital, trade, goods, and services, and people (migration) Example: our coffee is not grown in the US, our media (and visions of the good life) are exported to other countries. But note that cosmopolitanism does not necessarily mean “Western” but a particular status associated with status and showing off, including kung-fu films.
