Asbestos • NESHAP (40 CFR 61.154) • For all asbestos-containing waste material received, the owner or operator of the active waste disposal site shall: • Maintain waste shipment records for at least 2 years • Maintain, until closure, records of the location, depth and area, and quantity in cubic yards of asbestos-containing waste material within the disposal site on a map or diagram of the disposal area • Notify EPA in writing at least 45 days prior to excavating or otherwise disturbing any asbestos-containing waste material that has been deposited at a waste disposal site and is covered • Document the location of any temporary storage site and the final disposal site
Refrigerant • CAA Section 608 (40 CFR 82.156) • Certified recovery equipment • Verify that the refrigerant has been evacuated from the appliance or shipment of appliances previously, including a signed statement from the person from whom the appliance or shipment of appliances is obtained that all refrigerant that had not leaked previously has been recovered from the appliance. This statement must include the name and address of the person who recovered the refrigerant and the date the refrigerant was recovered or a contract that refrigerant will be removed prior to delivery.
