  3. Use practice experience to inform scientific inquiry • With me having very little knowledge on the various mental health diagnosis that are affecting boththe children and adult populations. It will benefit my clients, myself and co-workers if I am able to utilize available resources to obtain information regarding mental illness diagnosis, treatment, obtainable expectations and goals.

  4. Use research evidence to inform practice • I will utilize my instructors, field supervisor and colleagues to gather information that will aid me in assisting my clients. • Client records and charts will allow me to obtain previous information on interventions, available programs and resources. • The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-IV) and reliable internet resources can enhance my knowledge of mental health diagnosis.
