  4. Background • Growing complexity and multifaceted nature of patients’ health and social care needs which requires effective coordination of services3. [IOM 2013] • Research demonstrating that effective collaboration amongst multiple health care providers is essential for the provision of effective and comprehensive care. [Barr et al., 2005] • “Teamwork training can improve the teamwork of clinicians and even clinical outcomes”[Salas & Rosen, 2013]
