  3. Grading Protocal • 60% classwork • 30% assessments (quiz, tests) • 5% homework • 5% prepared for class • Work received with no name on it earns no credit.

  4. The 8th grade Responding to Reading curriculum herein is the product of work completed by nearly a dozen teachers of Responding to Reading and Academic Literacy, in conjunction with teachers of 8th grade English. This curriculum reflect a collaborative understanding of the needs of learners in light of the Common Core Standards, while honoring the integrity and intentions of the course itself.
