  2. Do Now (page 34L) • Write a sentence for each of your vocabulary words. Each sentence must show the word’s meaning and be at least 7 words long. • Words are page 30R. • Pay close attention to the part of speech to make sure you are using it correctly. • Verbs are something you do. • Nouns are things or ideas. • Adverbs describe actions. • Adjectives describe nouns.

  4. Quick News • Vocab/Spelling Quiz is Wednesday. • No school on Thursday or Friday. • Response to Literature writing quiz today. Complete sentences and textual evidence are required!!!! • Socratic Seminars next week; we will prepare for this today. • Keep the central idea chart taped to page 33R. • Less than 4 weeks left in the semester.

  5. Response to Literature Quiz • Answer the questions in complete sentences and cite textual evidence to support your answers. • How long should my answer be?  Quality over quantity.
