  2. Objective • Review key Internet Terms from The Internet handout given last Friday. • Begin setting up Internal Links for your first web page. • Create custom heading for each page. • Begin layout process.

Internet Email client Domain Top domain URL blog WAN LAN TCP/IP WWW Packet Switching Hyperlink Internal Hyperlink External Hyperlink Intrapage Hyperlink IP Address vs. Domain Address Terms to Know: Use Google to find definitions These are terms you’ll need to know. Write them down. You’ll be having a quiz on Friday regarding these terms.

  4. Word Wall example Internet Term Definition Picture/ Paraphrase Knowledge Connection The Internet is a computer-based Global Information System. The Internet is a tool I use to communicate With friends and learn about my world.

  5. Tonight’s Homework • Study your Internet Terminology notes as you’ll be having a quiz tomorrow. • For the quiz, you may not use any aids (notes or any technology). • Study your definitions carefully. • Some questions are M/C and some are short answer. • This quiz is worth 30 points!

  6. Setting Up Links • Remember, you have three pages. • You need the same Common Heading on all pages. What’s your heading? • In Word, Type Heading on top and center. • Under the heading, type page 2 and page 3. • Use briggs_sports as an example. • Follow my exact directions. Look up at the screen.

  7. Custom heading • Assure your heading is the same for each page • Make sure the style of your heading reflects the subject matter
