  1. Facts for June 1 June International Children’s Day This was started in 1925 following The World Conference for the Well-being of Children held in Geneva Switzerland. It is an annual event aimed at promoting the rights and welfare of young people and the world. 1 June 1935 The first driving test was introduced in the United Kingdom

  2. Facts for June 1 June 1831 Magnetic North Pole was discovered by James Clark Ross who was a commander in the British Navy and an experienced Arctic explorer. Magnetic North Pole is not to be confused with True North – geographic North Pole the northernmost point on the earth’s surface. Magnetic North is the place where compass needles actually point.

  5. Eco Club On LAW Duty This Week 4M • 2 LAW officers in each of the playground zones • 1 LAW officer with Mr Linklater to litter pick at the front of the school

  6. Eco Club We would like to share with you our new Eco Code. L is for Litter but also Love T is for Transport but also The E is for Energy but also Earth So our focus is Litter, Transport ad Energy but to remember it easily we have turned it into ‘Love The Earth’. We hope you think it is quite clever, we like it. We are also having an Eco Action Day on Friday June 12. we are proposing to have a NO CAR DAY (more details to follow)

  7. Playground Information Please remember when you are on the Free Running Track and the Standing Stones to try and keep the bark in these areas and not spread it all across the other parts of the playground.

  8. Well Done to …………. Emily and Molly who had a fundraising singing and dancing day at their house . They raised £5.63 to go towards Mary’s Meals Jade who found a message in a bottle which came from the Faroe Islands. She wrote to them to let them know she had found it and then received a letter from Kristian Martin.

  9. Well Done to …………. Our Brownie Guides who took part in a Willy Wonker Hat Competion. Tallis who took part in Pony Club games down in Angus
