ObjectivesThe proposed network is aimed at integrating and structuring European research teams, who have been working in drought and flood prevention, and to co-ordinate the human and financial investment into augmenting the scientific capacity of the European research institutions so that they can become leaders in this area rapidly, by constructing an European Virtual Centre for developing Decision Support Systems in Drought and Flood Management .
