WE WILL DISCUSSED • Floppy drives • Tape drives • Compact Discs(CD) different physical sizes: CD, Laserdisc, mini disc. • FLASH MEMORY: Ex: Flash Drives • USB 1.0, 2.0, AND 3.0
Drives 31/2 inch floppy • Typically remove from the front. • OBSOLETE!
Saving Medias - Floppy DiscsWHY DO WE CALL THEM FLOPPY DISCS? • 31/2 inch • 51/4 inch • 8 inch
31/2 Inch Floppy • Holds 1.44MB
Zip Drives • 100MB • 250MB • Became OBSOLETE just a few years after coming out!

LASERDISC • HOLD MOVIES • WAS USED BEFORE DVD’S CAME OUT! • HAS TO BE LASERDISC PLAYER • REPLACED VHS TAPES
JUMP DRIVE/FLASH DRIVE • Currently up to 1000 Gigabytes or 1TB while still remaining this small ($750.00+) • Yeah! And it is also Very FAST!!!!!!
USB 3.0 • Currently out • Has an additional 5 connectors behind the normal 4 • Much FASTER!!!
USB 3.0 • If you have an older PC don’t worry you can add some USB 3.0 connectors to your computer with an expansion card or express card.
