Incoming address last AGM • NZ membership • Practice based research networks • Increase in subs to fiscally underwrite the organisation • Increase undergraduate GP vocational choice (education) • PHCRED continuance & expansion to facilitate career paths for mid-career researchers
The year in review • Subscriptions • increased to $100 and pro rata $33 a year to all registrars • Discount special subscription expanded to RHD students and overseas members • Working party formed to deal with increased medical students. Represented by Jon Emery, Dimity Pond and Steve Trumble & myself. GPET - GP Education Summit – promotion of Community Clinical Schools – Ministerial meeting • Membership survey (Dimity Pond)
The year in review • The General Practice and Primary Health Care Research conference. • AAAGP Distinguished Paper plenary • Award for best first time presenter • AAAGP dinner (Chris van Weel) • Ordinary meeting. • Final session lobbying of Minister on research practice networks (Jane Gunn, Doris Young) • Formal proposal for research infrastructure and practice based research networks financial [endorsed by Warwick Anderson (CEO NHMRC)].
