  7. OBSERVATIONS • PBR area mainly falls under Narmada Basin. Only small part is under Mahanadi Basin • The Tawa basin covers the major parts of PBR • Denwa and Dudhi are the other important rivers • Hill and hill ranges constitute about 60% • Alluvial soils occupy about 20%, mainly northern plain land • The BR area is having sub-tropical climate and receives more than 200cm of annual rainfall. • The average max. Temp is 350 and average Min is 100 C • Approx. 65% of lands are under forest. Net Cultivated land is about 26% • Southern and Central parts have forest cover more than 80% of the land while Northern parts have high percentage of land under cultivation
