ARTEMIS Innovation Environment • CoE (Centre of Excellence) • To integrate regional innovation initiatives in Europe (Pôles de compétitivité, Clusters and similar cross-partners organisations) into the ARTEMIS innovation environment • SME Policy • Growth of existing SMEs by: • Facilitating market access for SMEs • Taking advantages of ARTEMIS members complementary profiles • Creation of new successful SMEs by: • Selecting promising R&D projects, facilitating access to venture capital, educating entrepreneurs • Open standards and OSS Policy • First initiative in the area of middleware for Embedded Systems • Structuring the academic research and education community
