SILICONE COATINGS TRAITS • Highly hydrophobic liquids • Limited effectiveness on oil-based soils • Not effective on upward facing horizontal surfaces, and surfaces which might be under water for extended periods of time • Do not react with treated surfaces over time • Not durable • Do not retain their stain repelling properties against oil, water, or borne soils

  7. Water Repellency Test Results Liquids range from 100% Water/0% Alcohol (w) through 0% water 100% Alcohol (10) in 10% increments (1-9)

Oil Repellency Test Results The following oil products were used, per 3M Oil Repellency Test 1 1: Mineral Oil 5:Dodecane 2: 65/35 Mineral Oil/Hexadecane 6: Decane 3: Hexadecane 7: Octane 4: Tetradecane 8: Heptane The SGT. HALT samples passed all oil repellency tests. The product X and Y samples failed all oil repellency tests 2. .
