  2. LONG TERM GOAL “Human mind is like an empty slate and everything related to language comes from outside.” Anonymous Adopt 21st century approaches to enhance students’ appreciation of English.

  3. SHORT TERM GOALS Facilitate learning in the class. Increase students’ motivation to learn English. Make them confident and fluent speakers of English. Develop critical thinking among them.

  4. INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES AND TASKS Use wide range assessments, including observations, portfolios and performance assessments. Make use of effective strategies such as project based learning and cooperative grouping to engage students. Give students opportunities to talk about shared learning experiences and use their creative thinking. Give more opportunities to students to acquire high order thinking.

  5. SCCC CHALLENGES SOLUTIONS Praise the good work to help students built self confidence. Motivate students to do extensive reading. Help them out by giving them some information and telling them to sort out the relevant data. The topics assigned to the students would be age appropriate and interesting. Give students individual feedback. • Students face the task of mastering a second language while also leaning the subject area context. • They have less or no reading habits. • They feel hesitant to speak in front of the class. • Lack of interest shown in the write-ups by students. • Most of the time children lack motivation.
