Research Topic for Aaron Quitberg and Jacob Marsh UAVs Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Ideas • Implementation of carbon fiber and carbon fiber/ Kevlar hybrid composites in the traditional UAV wing used by USU in crop and agricultural surveying. • Improve cargo holding area and minimize drag. • Analyze qualitatively the differences between the two UAVs. • Better placement of UAV electronics

Photos Rough Two downward bumps are not aerodynamic. Lens protectors are acting as landing gear and become scuffed. Lots of drag and turbulence is created with poor door design
Improvements Smooth aerodynamic body that minimize drag Flush doors Flat bottom Skid pads on bottom Hard frame will allow for level and secure placement of electronics and components Lower energy consumption thus increasing fly time More cargo capability (forward looking camera)
Wing with canopy to raise cameras for less obstructions on bottom airfoil
Front view with no obstructions on bottom airfoil due to canopy instillation
