Introduction • This project makes part of the category: Planning, organizing and developing an educational event or social service in favor of a community. • Involves the disciplines of emprenderism, social studies, economics and physical education. • Allow students to have an internal activity in which all of them are part in sports category. • Participation of all students in the High and Middle Schoolarea, to encourage such participation, we implement an excellent award to the winner for it to have a better reception. • The Inter-Classes tournament will be based on four sports: soccer, volleyball, basketball and Ping-Pong. • We obtained a very satisfactory participation by students in which they were motivated and interested in the tournament.
Justification • Actually our school has a deficit in the sports program. • There is a sports program which is based in students with a high performance. • Students whose characteristics are not really athletic, have only the spaces of PE for practice sport. • Students can be integrated into an active participation during the tournament by participating on sports, leading or coordinating their teams to succeed and cheers. • Making the tournament will encourage those students of not high performance to practice sports and let asidetheir sedentary lifestyle that exists in them.
“The mission of GI School is: To form well-rounded successful leaders who communicate effectively and confidently on a universal level.” • Relation with the mission: • Leadership characteristics are required from students who are competing, those who coordinate their teams and also the ones the ones who make cheers. • In our case we need to use leadership and an effective communication because we are carrying out a big event.
“In the year 2020 we will be a community that educates for life through innovative and interactive methods that motivate learning.” • Relation with the vision: • Since we are educating our students to grow in sports with innovative methodologies such as the Inter-Classes Tournament achieving active participation by all, we have the relation with it.
Investigative Questions • What impact would the implementation of an Inter-Classes tournament would have in the sports program of GI School? • Is this tournament the right way to build motivation, interest and participation in GI School students?
Objectives General Objectives: • Generate a tournament to improve the school's sports program, permitting students to have an internal activity in which all of them can participate on the sport aspect. • Find a way in which students start seeing the Inter-Classes tournament as an event that motivates and its necessary. With this, the tournament willinstitutionalize making all students to participate.
Specific Objectives: • Create bonds of friendship among students of the school making that the harmony increase between them in order to have a better quality of life within the GI School. • Promote sports to GI School students, showing them the facilities proposed by the school, that without exception all are part of it.
Hypothesis The creation of theInter-Classes tournament, will allow the improvement of the school sports program, motivatingthe integration and participation in sports of high school students of the GI School.
Theoretical Framework Conceptual Framework: • Motivation: cause or reason that impels actionor stimulation to encourage and interesting goal. • Encourage: to stimulate with some kind of reward someoneto make an specific action. • Rule: a principle or regulation governing conduct, action, procedure or arrangement. • Sports: physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively. • Goals: the purpose toward which an endeavor is directed; an objective.
Theoretical Framework: • Attribution Theory: is the need to do something to get a reward or prize which can be tangible or intangible. • Oriented Work Theory: the individual is satisfied with what he is doing. The task creates on him satisfaction. • Ego Theory: the necessity to feel well, so you act in a determine manner to achieve a goal and feel happy. Field Work Diagnostic Session: • There was a survey to know the thoughts and expectations of students about our project. • This activity took place on February 12, 2012 at the kiosk in the school during break time. • The survey was conducted with students from Middleand High School, they were selected randomly.
Awards: Champion: Blue House • Steak at “Chalet El Refugio”. • All the costs of this trip are assume by the tournament directors. • Transportation is a help from Buses Armenia S.A Company.
Conclusion Product: • Createfriendship among students of the institution making that increase harmony between them. • Promote the practicing of sports for all students on the high school area. • Students founded on the Inter-Classes tournament an event that needs to be institutionalize and be part of sports motivation in school. • The Inter-Classes tournament with its basis and ideas is let on school and students hands. They are responsible for make of it a bigger event.
Future Applications Weaknesses: Opportunities: • The elaboration by first time of a big project, as organized and systematized like this. • Lack of ways to control the discipline, because we had never before performed the manage and the organization of such large groups of people. • We have the support of students by providing us the Ping-Pong rackets and balls. • Transportation for the winning team, since we have the support of Buses Armenia S.A.
Strengths: Threats: • Climate, changes a lot so you were not able to determine when will start raining. • Organization dates, the school has a very tight agenda. • Compromises from 12th grade course. • Contact we had with the sports almost throughout all our lives, our knowledge of each of the sports that were on the tournament. • As athletes, we care about the project because it represents a relationship with us. • We wanted to make a mark at school, considering that this is our last year at the institution.
