DESCRIPTION of FUNCTION Montreal Protocol is designed to protect the ozone layer by regulating out the production of a number of substances believed to be responsible for ozone depletion, while searching for ozone-friendly alternatives. The Montreal Protocol has slowed and reversed the accumulation of ozone depleting substances (ODSs) in the stratosphere. Ozone Layer ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE AFFECTED
