BACKGROUND • THE HEALTH PROMOTING SCHOOLS CONCEPT INTRODUCED IN THE PROVINCE IN 1997/1998 • THE PROVINCE EXPERIENCED A DECLINE IN HPS ACTIVITIES DURING THE PAST YEARS DUE TO RE-STRUCTURING
Limpopo Province is situated in the Northern part of South Africa and is made up of 5 districts and 26 municipalities namely:-Limpopo shares international borders with Botswana,Zimbabwe,Mozabique.Total population of 5,668,602 .Bushbuckridge municipality of Bohlabela district is now Mpumalanga and Maruleng Municipality is now part of Mopani District.
