Yes/No Questions. Lesson Objective : “Yes” and “No” Questions are very common in the English language. It’s important that you understand how to ask/write them and answer them correctly. Our specific goal is: Write 10 Yes/No questions and answer them correctly.

  2. Lesson Objective: “Yes” and “No” Questions are very common in the English language. It’s important that you understand how to ask/write them and answer them correctly. Our specific goal is: Write 10 Yes/No questions and answer them correctly. • 本課目標:“Yes/No”問句在英語裡是很常見的問句。如何去正確地問出、寫出Yes/No”問句是很重要的。我們明確的目標就是正確地寫出10句Yes/No問句以及回答。 • Overall Process -- First, look at the names of the animals and write down their names in Chinese. After this, a student in your group will choose to be an ANIMAL. Then the rest of the students will ask 7 “Yes” and “No” questions and then make 3 guesses as to what animal the student is. • 課程過程:首先,看著動物的名字然後寫下他們的中文名稱。之後,你們那組的一個同學要選擇當其中一種動物。其它同學則要問他7句Yes/No問句,然後可以猜三次這位同學選擇哪一種動物。 • Advanced students will ask 7 Reporter Questions and then make 3 guess as to what the animal is.進階學生可以問7句報導式問句然後可以猜三次這位同學選擇哪一種動物。 • Follow-up Activities -- Choose any animal in the world and students will ask 10 Yes/No questions trying to figure out what you are. Also, you can play the same game by choosing: an object in the room, a person in the room, or a famous person in Taiwan. • 接續活動:選擇世界上任何動物,其它學生問你10句Yes/No問句,試著找出你是什麼動物。此外,你可以也玩類似的遊戲:選擇教室裡的一個物品、人、或者台灣有名的人物。

  8. Yes/No Questions: 2. Can you (verb)?(動詞) a. Run c. Swim e. Eat another animal g. Attack b. Fly d. Jump f. Be eaten h. Hide Answers: Yes, I can. No, I can not.

  9. Yes/No Questions: 3. “Do you have (noun)?”(名詞) a. Legs c. Fur e. Claws g. Horns b. Finns d. Wings f. Spots h. Four Legs Answers: Yes, I do. No, I don’t.

  10. Yes/No Questions: 4. “Are you a (noun)?”(名司) a. Monkey c. Bat e. Porpoise g. Seal b. An Elephant d. Grizzly Bear f. Raccoon h. Whale Answers: Yes, I am. No, I am not.

  11. Follow-up Activity(활동하기) 1. Choose any animal in the world. The other students will ask 10 Yes/No questions and try to figure out what you are. 接續活動:選擇世界上任何動物,其它學生問你10句Yes/No問句,試著猜出你是什麼動物。 2. Choose a particular object in the room. The other students will ask 10 Yes/No questions and attempt to guess the object. 選擇教室裡的一個物品,其它學生問你10句Yes/No問句,試著找猜出這個物品。 3. Choose a person in the room and the other students will try to guess who you are by asking Yes/No questions. 選擇教室裡的一個人物,其它學生問你10句Yes/No問句,試著猜出這個人。 4. Choose a famous person in Taiwan and the other students will try to guess who you are by asking Yes/No questions. 選擇台灣一個有名的人物,其它學生問你10句Yes/No問句,試著猜出這個人物。
