What is a Parish School? • A school set up and run by a congregation • WELS schools are characterized in three simple statements: • Christ-centered education • dedicated, caring teachers • academic excellence "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Why a Parish School? • Mission: King of Kings Lutheran School exists to help parents/legal guardians make their children Christ’s disciples through supporting them, encouraging them, and assisting them in nurturing their children in God’s Word. • Purpose: To provide a Christ-centered education for the children of our church and community. We are a full-time educational institution affording to every child that which cannot be found in any public establishment of its kind—a BALANCED PROGRAM for the SOUL, the BODY, and the MIND of the child "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." School Policies • Health: • All – HRS Form 680, all immunizations are up-to-date • Kindergarten – Physical, immunizations • 7th – Physical, immunizations • Call in if the student will be absent • Bring a note when the student returns to class for admittance • Medications – must have a note "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
