Adjectives • What is an adjective? • A word that describes a noun. • Adjectives modify nouns In Latin, adjectives must agree in GENDER, NUMBER, and CASE! ex) magna silva – a large forest … magnaesilvae – large forests
ACCUSATIVE CASE • Used to indicate the direct object of a sentence. • direct object = the noun that receives the action of the main verb. ex) aquammultamportant. – they carry much water.
