Catalog in Workshop • All the changes inside the Workshop are concentrated inside the “Smart Versioning” tab in the “Ad Settings” screen.
How to Create a Catalog Ad? Let’s see how… • The user can define a specific Smart Versioning ad that is a “Smart Versioning Catalog”. • The user can define specific smart item restrictions, in order to prevent the assignment of values that would distort the creative appearance by the media user. • The user can relate different instances for the different products that should be displayed inside the ad. • The user can preview the “Smart Versioning Catalog” implementation within the Workshop environment.
Start Creating Catalog Ad Let’s see how… • In order to create a catalog ad, the user should switch between a regular Smart Versioning ad and an ad that displays a Smart Versioning catalog. • When switching to Smart Versioning Catalog all smart items that were already defined should be displayed in the first product of the catalog.
Catalog in Workshop • The Smart Versioning Catalog consists of one main table which allows the user to: • Define the smart items that exist in the specific ad, including all of their settings. • Define the number of products that should be displayed inside the ad, including all of their settings.
Catalog in Workshop Each product inside the ad will be represented by a tab that will allow the user to define the instance name that is relevant for each of the smart items in the ad for this specific product. Each row represents Smart items in the ad. All products must contain all the smart items that were defined for the ad.
Workshop - Text Floater Display Name must be unique • Since we have a different clickthrough for each version, we can define that the values themselves be clickable. • In case the ad is AS2 – this checkbox should be disabled Display online notifications when number of characters exceeds X characters
Workshop - Image Floater The Display Name must be unique • When resizing to the movie clip size of an instance, each of the smart items’ values is resized to the size of the instance they are assigned to. • Since we have a different clickthrough for each version, we can define that the values themselves be clickable. • In case the ad is AS2 – this checkbox should be disabled
Product Clickthrough • The user should be able to assign a different Clickthrough URL for each of the products in the ad.
Multiple Versions Tab • In case the ad was created as a “Smart Versioning Catalog”, the “Multiple Versions” view should be shown when entering the SV tab. • The user has the option to define the different settings for the Smart items. These definitions are applied to all versions for this specific Smart item.
Ads List Changes • Two new icons were introduced in the Advanced Features column and the filter: • Regular Smart Versioning • Smart Versioning Multiple - A Smart Versioning ad that was defined to contain “Multiple Versions”.
Permissions • The Mass Versioning and the Catalog will be available only for Beta users, if the ads were uploaded from the new MXP. • The catalog feature in WS can be seen by everyone with the new MXP, but just users with Beta permission, can upload a catalog ad from the WS. • Users that don’t have permissions should see “Multiple Versions” ads as regular ads in their ads list. • If a user does not have the permission to see the “Multiple Versions” feature and they open the SV tab of an ad that was defined as “Multiple Versions”, they should not be able to see the details of this tab.
Catalog Hands on • An online furniture store is interested in publishing some of its products inside a banner ad. • The store has a very large inventory of furniture (1000 different types of furniture), so it would like to present the end user with as many products as possible. • The advertiser has supplied the Media Agency the following information for each product: • Product Name • Product Price • Product Image • The URL of the product’s site • For example:
Catalog Hands on • The advertiser would like the ad to display 3 different products in each impression in the following way: • While the actual values for each of the versions will be entered through the online platform, you need to build the ad so that when the ad is served, each of the products can be populated for each of the slots inside the ad. • In order to do this you will be using the new “Smart Versioning Catalog” feature.
Catalog Hands on • Steps: • Create an Expandable Banner 728*90 (from template) • Create your future 9 dynamic elements. • Go to the Smart Versioning tab and scan your ad. • Create a catalog ad that displays 3 different products in each impression. Each product should contain an image, text for the product name, text for the product price and a clickthrough URL (according to the table below). Images can be found in: http://eyeteam02/sites/Rich%20Media%20Platform/User%20Experience/Solutions/SV2/Training/creative/SV_Catalog_Images.zip
Catalog Hands on • Steps - continuation : • Define that if the image is different than the movie clip size, it automatically resizes it to this size and maintains the aspect ratio. • Save and preview your ad. • Upload your ad to the MediaMind platform. • Go inside the ad and look at the Smart Versioning tab and see if everything is clear.
