Good Points • Follow the order of your presentation outline • Write in point form, not complete sentences; Avoid wordiness: use key words and phrases only • Include 4-5 points per slide • Use different size fonts for main points and secondary points (Use standard fonts) For example: body text font 24-point, the main point font 28-point, and the title font 36-point

Good Points (Contd….) • Use a font color that contrasts sharply with the background • Use graphs/pictures rather than just charts and sentences; Always title your graphs • Use a conclusion slide to: • Summarize the main points of your presentation • Suggest future avenues of research • Finish your presentation in time: PLAN AND PRACTICE BEFOREHAND

  5. Bad Points Do not use distracting animation Do not go overboard with the animation Be consistent with the animation that you use If you use too small font, your audience won’t be able to read your text Don’t use a complicated font
