TIPS TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN • 1) Keep all doors and windows locked • 2) If you don’t recognize the person, don’t answer the door • 3) Have a cell phone available to call 911 • 4) Don’t hesitate to call 911 in case of an emergency • 5) Know your address and phone number • 6) Have a safe place to hide • 7) Try to remain calm • 8) Listen to the dispatcher and answer their questions as accurately as possible • 9) Don’t come out until the police arrive
