  4. Dr. K.Chidananda Gowda Prof. K. ChidanandaGowdais the former Vice-Chancellor of the Kuvempu University, Karnataka, India. He is currently a Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at the International School of Information Management, University of Mysore, Mysore. Many also refer to him as the father of Symbolic Data Analysis in the English speaking world. Prof. ChidanandaGowda was awarded the Kannada SahityaAkademi award for his book, PutaanigalaVignyanaPadyagalu in 1986. He was also given the M. Visveswaraya Technical Award in 1995 for his contributions to engineering. He has also authored books in Kannada and English.

  5. Dr. Utpal Roy Dr Utpal Roy is presently an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Patna. He has completed his Phd from Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, India. His research area includes Bose-Einstein condensate, Nonlinear Optics and Quantum Optics. He was a Post Doctoral Fellow at University of Camerino, Italy and worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher in UKZN, Durban, SA. He is the IOP Referee for Journal of Physics A and New Journal of Physics. He has published several journals in different areas of physical science.

  6. Dr. AsifEkbal Dr. Asif Ekbal is presently working as an Asst. Professor at Indian Institute of Patna. He has completed his Phd from Jadavpur University, Kolkata. He worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Trento, Italy (September 2010-January 2011) and Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Heidelberg University, Germany (September 2009-June, 2010). He is a Member of The Association of Computer, Electronics and Electrical Engineers (ACEEE), international Committee on AICIT's international conference series (NCM, NISS and ICCIT) and Association of Computational Linguistics (ACL). He has published more than 14 Journals and 28 conference papers.

  7. Dr. SriparnaSaha Dr. SriparnaSahais presently working as an Asst. Professor at Indian Institute of Patna. She has completed her Phd from Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Her area of research includes Pattern Recognition, Evolutionary Computation and Multi-objective Optimization. She worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of Trento, Italy (September 2010-January 2011) and Heidelberg University, Germany (September 2009-June, 2010). She has received "Google India Women in Engineering Award, 2008".Her name is included in 2009 Edition of Who's Who in the World. Dr. SriparnaSaha has published more than 28 conference papers and 18 journals.

  8. Dr. KoushikSinha Dr. KoushikSinhais a Research Scientist at HP Labs India. He is currently involved with the Simplifying Web Interactions project. He holds a PhD (2007) and MS (2003) in Computer Science from the Jadavpur University, Calcutta, India and the Clemson University, South Carolina, USA, respectively. Prior to joining HP Labs, he was with Honeywell Technology Solutions, Bangalore, India from 2004 to 2011, where he worked as a Lead Research Scientist in the Advanced Technology Lab. Koushik received the Indian Science Congress "Young Scientist Award" for the year 2008-09 in the Information and Communication Science and Technology (including Computer Sciences) category. His areas of interest include mobile computing, wireless ad hoc & sensor networks, assistive technologies and high performance computing.

  9. Dr. BhabotoshChanda Dr. BhabotoshChanda is currently working as a Professor in Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, India. He received B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering and PhD in Electrical Engineering from University of Calcutta in 1979 and 1988 respectively. His research interest includes Image and video Processing, Pattern Recognition, Computer Vision and Mathematical Morphology. He has published more than 170 technical articles in refereed journals and conferences, authored two books and edited five books.He has received `Young Scientist Medal' of Indian National Science Academy in 1989,`Computer Engineering Division Medal' of the Institution of Engineers (India) in 1998, 'Vikram Sarabhai Research Award in 2002 and IETE-Ram LalWadhwa Gold medal in 2007.

  10. Dr. P Nagabhusan Dr. P Nagabhusanis presently working as a Professor of University of Mangalore. He is also the Director of Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of University of Mysore. He holds M.Tech and Phd from highly recognized university of India. His area of research includes Pattern Recognition, Digital Image Analysis and Processing, Document Image Analysis and Knowledge Mining. He is a Fellow of Institution of Engineers (FIE). He received outstanding academician and researcher award ICCR-08 and ICICOT-07. He has received award IEEE-ICSIP-06 in appreciation of life time contribution to the field of Signal and Image Processing.

  11. Dr. B H Sekhar Dr. B H Sekharis presently working as an Associate Professor and Chairman in Department of Computer Science & Engineering in Mangalore University. He has done his M.Sc and Phd both from University of Mysore in the year of 1994 and 2007 respectively. His area of specialization includes Pattern Recognition, Image processing, Database and Data Structure. He is the reviewer of renowned journals like Journal of Pattern Recognition, Pattern Recognition Letters and Image and Vision Computing. He was awarded several scholarships like NMS Scholarship; fellowship includes DAAD and Teachers fellowship, DRDO fellowship etc.

  12. Dr. A Srinivas Dr A. Srinivasa is the professor and HOD of the Department of Electronics and Communication, at PESIT West Campus.He holds a Doctor of Philisophy (Ph.D), Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Madras, India. He persued his Master of Engineering from P.S.G.College of Technology, Coimbatore, India, and Bachelor of Engineering(B.E.,), Electrical Engineering from Bangalore University, India. He also holds a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education, Monash University, Australia. His research areas are Adhoc and Sensor Networks, Quality of Service in Communication Networks, CDMA Mobile Technology, Machine Intelligence and Healthcare Informatics. He holds significant research grants and has published a number of journal proceedings

  13. Dr .Punitha Dr. Punitha is currently a Professor and HOD of the Department of Master of Computer Applications, at the PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore. She was previously a Post Doctoral Researcher within the Glasgow Information Retrieval Group within the Department of Computing Science, Glasgow, Scotland from 2006 - 2010 She received her Ph.D in Computer Science from the University of Mysore in 2006. She received her Bachelor and Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Mysore, Mysore in 1999 and 2001 respectively. Her research interests include, Image processing and Pattern Recognition, Content based image retrieval to name a few.

  14. Dr. ArtiArya Dr. ArtiAryais currently the professor and HOD of the Department of Master of Computer Applications, at the PES Institute of Technology, Bangalore. She received her B. Sc in Mathematics from Delhi University and a Masters degreee in Mathematics from the same university. She later went on to persue her Ph.D in Computer Science from Delhi University. Her research areas include Spatial Clustering techniques, Classification, Oulier Analysis, Web Mining, Knowledge Based Representation,Databases, Applied Mathematics. She has published a number of papers and journals in international conferences. She received the “Best Faculty Award" in Aug 2005 by MRIU.

  15. Dr. GowriSrinivasa Dr. GowriSrinivasais currently a Professor at the Department of Information Science and Engineering, PES School of Engineering, Bangalore. She persuedB.E in Computer Science from PES Institute of Technology Bangalore. She also holds a Ph.D in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, USA. Dr. Srinivasa has published a number of publications at International Conferences and proceedings. Her research areas of interest include Biomedical imaging, Design and application of multiresolution techniques, Image processing and Pattern recognition to list a few. She is also the Director of Pattern Recognition Division at PESIT, South Campus.

  16. Dr. ChandiniVerma Dr. ChandniVermais presently working as an Assistant Professor for Department of Science and Humanities in PESIT South Campus. She has done her Phd in Mathematics in IIT Madras. Her areas of research includes Meshfree methods, Radial Basis function based schemes for Differential equations, Fractional Differential Equation etc. She has got awards in Institute for the "Best Paper in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)", IIT Madras, for two consecutive years 2008 & 2009, National Board of Higher Mathematics (NBHM) Postdoctoral Fellowship, India, 2008 and GATE scholarship for her Phd from 2002-2007.She has published 10 papers including Journals and Conferences.

  17. Dr. Leonid M Mestetskiy Dr. Leonid M Mestetskiy earned an MS in Mathematics from Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1971. During 1971–1992 he worked in the Research Institute as a research fellow (1971–1975), a senior research fellow (1976–1991), and the leading research fellow (1992). In 1992–2000 he worked as a professor in Tver State University, Department of Information Systems and Technologies. In 2000 he holds a Professorship in Lomonosov Moscow State University in the Department of Mathematical Forecast Methods. He received the Ph.D. degree (1982), D.Sc. degree (1991), in Computer Science, and Professor Degree (1998). His specializations are Operations research, Simulation, Computational geometry, Computer graphics and Pattern recognition. He published 120 articles and reports.

  18. Dr. A.I. Maysuradze Dr. A.I. Maysuradze obtained his Specialist degree (equals to M.Sc.) in Control and Applied Mathematics from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Moscow, Russia, in 1999. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Theoretical Foundations of Computer Science from Dorodnicyn Computing Center of Russian Academy of Sciences in 2005. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mathematical Methods of Forecasting, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow, Russia. He has authored more than 40 peer reviewed papers, in Russia and abroad. His majors include Similarity measures and Metric algorithms for Machine learning, Graph and Link mining, Information Extraction from Unstructured Sources.

Prof. Yury Vizilter Prof. Yury Vizilter obtained his engineer diploma and Ph.D. degree in Technical Control and Information Processing from the Moscow Aviation Institute (Technical University) in 1992 and 1997, and Doctor of Science degree in Theoretical Basics of Informatics from the Samara State Aviation University in 2009. He is currently working as a Head of Department forMachine Vision and Data Mining in the State Research Institute of Aviation Systems (GosNIIAS) and as a Professor of Moscow Aviation Institute (Technical University), Moscow, Russia. He has authored about 110 scientific publications including 30 journal papers and 3 books. His areas of research interests: machine vision, image processing, digital photogrammetry, pattern recognition, machine learning, mathematical morphology, video analysis, biometrics.

  20. Dr. Natalia F.Dyshkant Dr. Natalia F.Dyshkant obtained her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Moscow State University, Department of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics in 2011. She is currently working as research fellow in Research Computing Center of Moscow State University. Her scientific interest covers Pattern recognition, Data mining, Machine learning, Computational geometry and Image processing. She has published 20 articles.

Dr. Irina Bakina Dr. Irina Bakina graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics in 2008, completed her post-graduate course there in 2011 and obtained her Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Dorodnicyn Computing Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences in 2011. She has published 12 articles. Her scientific interests cover pattern recognition, image processing, biometric identification.

  22. Dr. SatyaNarayan Dr. Satya Narayanan is presently an Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore, India. He obtained his under graduate and graduate degrees in Mathematics from the University of Madras in the years 1976 and 1978, respectively. In the same year, he joined the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore for pursuing his Doctoral degree at the Department of Applied Mathematics and was successfully awarded the Ph.D. Degree in Dec. 1982. In January, 1983, he joined the Center for Atmospheric Sciences, Indian Institute of Science. He returned to the Department of Applied Mathematics in Dec. 1984 as one of the Research Scientists, chosen by the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, India. He is also the author of a textbook, `An Introduction to Waves and Oscillations in the Sun’, which will be published by Springer in 2013. He is also writing a book in collaboration with Prof. S. K. Saha of IIA, titled ``Waves and Oscillations in Nature – An Introduction’’, to be published by CRC Press (Taylor and Francis)

  23. Dr. Yedida VSS Sanyasiraju Dr. Sanyasiraju is working as a Professor for Department of Mathematics in Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He has done his Ph.D. in 1994 from Indian Institute of Technology Madras. His present research interest is Computational Fluid Dynamics. Prior to join in IIT Madras he also worked as a lecturer in IIT Guwahati. He also worked in CTFD division of NAL, Bangalore & CR College Chickpet. He has more than 27 paper published in International Journal and conference s. He also delivered invited talks in many International conference and workshops.

  24. Dr. SuranjanaGhosh Dr. Suranjana Ghosh is presently working as a DST Scientist in IIT Patna. She obtained PhD from Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmadabad, India. She worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow, Centre for Quantum Technology Westville Campus, UKZN, Durban, South Africa from March 2010-Aug 2010 and Post-Doctoral Fellow, Department of Physics, University of Camerino, Italy from Jan 2008-Jan 2010. She was awarded Senior Research Associate ship (Scientists’ Pool Scheme) by CSIR in 2011. She has also received Young Scientist project award by DST Fast Track Scheme in 2011. One of the papers was selected in Physical Review Kaleidoscoe, November, 09. Dr.Ghosh is a life member of Indian Society of Atomic & Molecular Physics (ISAMP) and also a Life member of Alumni Association, Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad, India. She has published more than 25 papers including Journals and conference proceedings. She is a professional reviewer of Romanian National Council for Scientific Research, Romania and Optics Communication, J. Phys. B.

  25. Dr. SwatiRouth Dr. Routhobtained her Ph.D in physics and astronomy from university of Texas at Arlington, USA. She has several research/academic awards bestowed on her She has published extensively in international journals having high impact factors. Her research interest include transverse and longitudinal waves in the solar atmosphere, computing cut off frequency in the solar/stellar atmosphere and quantum information theory. She is presently assistant professor, Dept of Physics, RV college of Engineering Bangalore. After obtaining doctoral diploma, she served as a post-doctoral fellow at the university of colorado, Boulder and Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore

  26. Dr. AntinaGhosh Current position: Postdoctoral fellow, School of Mechanical Engineering, Tel Aviv University. PhD: Soft Condensed Matter, Institute of physics, University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. MS: EMU, Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore. Research interests: Computer simulations of amorphous solids, Glasses, jamming, colloids, molecular simulations, Nano-fluidics, Scientific Computing.   27. Dr. Trivikram Gupta Dr. Tribikram Gupta is presently faculty at the RV College of Enginnering, Bangalore. He obtained his D.Phil. from Allahabad University in 2004, working at the Harish Chandra Research Institute. He has done his post doctoral fellowship at several places like JNCASR, Centre for Condensed Matter theory-IISc Bangalore, Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Chennai, and the Centre for Advanced Materials, IACS, Kolkata. Besides he has been in a visiting position to different institutes like IACS, SINP and SNBCS(Kolkata) and SSCU(IISc Bangalore). He has worked on a broad range of topics that include high temperature superconductivity, colossal magneto resistance and manganites, quantum monte carlo approaches to strongly correlated systems, study of heterostructures, metal insulator transitions and photovoltaics/solar cells. He works on several techniques like Monte Carlo methods(classical and quantum), simulated annealing, exact diagonalization and density matrix renormalization group. He has 10 publications in international journals and 1 book chapter in lecture notes in physics, Springer Verlag.

  28. Dr. ShyamVasudevarao Dr. Shyam holds a doctorate in Real Time Embedded Systems, specialising in Parallel Computer Architecture from Indian Institute of Science (gold Medal) & has been with CG Smith, Ericsson, Tata Consultancy Services and as Director of Technology at Philips. He was instrumental in devising one of the first hardware based antivirus solution in 90s. Dr. Shyam has established university relationships for joint research programs to work on wireless technology and medical electronics with IISc, IIT Mumbai & Alborg University. He currently holds the posts of President & CTO at Forus Health (P) Ltd, CEO at MYMO Wireless Technology (P) Ltd at SID – IISc, Bangalore and Technical Director at Maastricht University in Netherlands. His innovation at Forus has won several Loral’s like DST Locked Martin Gold medal, Perimal Award to name a few.
