  4. Foundations of Medical Science Curriculum

  5. M3 Year • 48 weeks of required clerkships • Internal medicine • Surgery and surgical subspecialties • Pediatrics • Family medicine • Neurology/ophthalmology • Obstetrics/gynecology • Psychiatry

  6. M4 Year • Required: primary care, acting internship, geriatrics • Mostly elective/pre-residency

  7. Curriculum Committee • Faculty committee with representation from basic science and clinical departments, students • Recent efforts • Major reorganization of curriculum • Active learning • Preparation for LCME
