  2. AboutMaddie “Maddie Madd” Samuels Maddie “Maddie Madd” Samuels is a writer whose muse of choice is independent music. Maddie has always had a passion for writing and a love for music. She began to take her writing seriously when she became the Fashion Editor for Core DJ Storm’s site 850Live.com and a contributor for her blog The Mouth of The South. “Although I am not a fashion guru, I felt that this was an opportunity to work on my craft.” A couple of years after writing for 850Live she began working with a friend on a site, which featured indie artists in the Tallahassee, FL area, DatTallyVibe.com. She later made the decision to move back to her hometown Houston, TX. Once, settled back in Houston, she created her own site MaddieMadd.com; where she supported her favorite indie artists. MaddieMadd.com caught the attention of indie media group Exclusive Society, who invited Maddie to become a part of their team. Maddie now runs her own site www.SpotlightJunkie.com and is the Tallahassee Indie and Houston Hip Hop Examiner for Examiner.com and has written for DJBooth.net and GorillaLeak.com. In February 2013, Maddie was chosen to be a Brand Influencer along with the likes of Wayne Cole, Sketch the Journalist, Darren Griffin, Rizoh, and Shea Serrano.
