What happens at Quiet Minds • The research done at QuietMind Foundation focus on drug free, noninvasive approaches to understand different way to treat disorders that affect people’s thinking, behavior, and movement.
Quiet Mind’s mission • Quietmind Foundation’s research agenda is the repair, regrowth, and retraining of brain functions compromised by the full range of neuropsychiatric disorders, traumatic head injuries, and neurodegenerative disorders as well as the normal stressors of everyday life. Through our own cutting-edge research and our collaboration with colleagues around the world, we are inventing breakthrough therapeutic interventions for people struggling with Parkinson’s disease, dementia, ADD/ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, addictions, post-concussion syndrome, PTSD, stroke, traumatic brain injury (TBI), epilepsy, and the cognitive side-effects of chemotherapy.
Target Market • Quiet mind focuses on studying technologies that can assist children and adults to achieve greatly in the things they do. • Quiet mind focus on clients who want to get better on their own instead of using medicine.
Job description • QuietMind combines neurofeedback and current technologies to enhance individual and organization health and performance. • These five components, research, assessment and training education, and consulting are strategically designed and implemented to support and inform one another, creating a seamless process that furthers the transformative work of people and groups. We assist clients by means of a variety of cutting-edge assessment tools, identifying and implementing skills and strategies that enhance the joy of learning and the capacity for taking action. The Work force • Volunteers • We have enjoyed the privilege of ongoing volunteer support from committed people who bring with them a wide and varying cross-section of experience, education, training, and backgrounds. One quality they all share, however, is the desire to support others in achieving their best selves. • Volunteers have included parents struggling to successfully raise a child with a learning disability; family members caring for a spouse, sibling, or grandparent with early to mid-stage dementia; successful professionals, working or retired, who want to give back to their community; and former clients whom we have helped and who now turn their attention to helping others. All have donated time, considerable skills, and heart to further our mission. • Student Interns • We welcome undergraduate and graduate students with an interest in neurofeedback and clinical practice to complete internships at our office. These positions can be a single semester or year-long. • QMF Interns have come to us from: Chestnut Hill College, Eastern University, Franklin & Marshall College, Widener University, Arcadia University, Temple University, and LaSalle University.
