  4. What is a Deferred Loan Program • This is a loan that is paid back when the home is sold or refinanced • It is a recorded note on the property

  5. Why did we create this program? • To help low to moderate income buyers • 60% of median income • To help with closing costs and/or down payment • Educate the buyer about the process • Educational class required

  6. Funding Source • Local government • Large employers • Events • Home buying expo • Local Association

  7. Deferred Loan Program • Helps buyers and promotes home ownership • Gives something back to the community

  8. Home Loan Program • Web site that allows consumers to research all types of affordable loan programs that are available based income and location. • Partnering with the Frederick County Board of Education Human Resource Department in recruitment of new teachers

  9. This provides a resource for the public and REALTORS • This outreach will strengthen the knowledge of what is available for work force housing
