  4. El Cambio • In the “yo” form of the preterite, the vowel after “c” changes in some verbs • As a result...we have to change the “c”  “qu” in order to protect the “k” sound

  9. El Cambio • In the “yo” form of the preterite, the vowel after “g” changes in some verbs • As a result...we have to change the “g”  “gu” in order to protect the “g” sound
