  4. Vector Borne Diseases • Dengue Fever • Malaria • Hemorrhagic Fever • Schistosomiasis • Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever • Lyme Disease • Leishmaniasis

  8. Diarrhea and Dysentery • Dysentery is bloody diarrhea • Almost Always from Food or Water • Can incapacitate a entire unit • Prevented by hand washing, good sanitation, and safe, approved food/water source

  10. Field Sanitation Teams • Trained in sanitation actions, 40 hours • Advisor to commander, not work detail • Need command support and money for equipment • PM needs to be a command action
