  3. You have to prepare: white coffee filters, 2 bottles filled with water, a rope, clothes pegs, felt-tips, a bowl of water.

  4. Cut stripes out of the filters.

  5. Draw a dot with a felt-tip - 1.5 cm from the edge.

  6. Put a bowl of water on the table. Put 2 bottles filled with water next to the bowl. Join the bottles with a rope.

  7. Using clothes pegs or adhesive tape, attach filter pieces of paper with dots to the rope, so that their edges could touch the water.

  8. Now, we're watching carefully......and

  9. we know that filter pieces of paper will become saturated with water.

  10. but ...

  11. Paints are absorbed by the filter pieces of paper at different speed, that's why various colours are emerging.
