Direct objects receive the action of the verb. To find them ask Whom? or What? about the verb. Direct objects may refer to people or things. Ej. I have the passport. I have it. (noun) (pronoun) Ej. Tengo el pasaporte. Lo tengo. (noun) (pronoun) Note: You must choose the correct DOP that agrees with the noun being replaced. Above the word for passport is MS, and so the MS DOP is used to replace it as “it”.
