General Information • In October 2009, MOT’s Meeting on reviewing Comment Data Templates and The Operational Guidelines chaired by Department of Planning and Investment of MOT with the attendance of VRA, VIWA,CAA,VR,VINAMARINE,VNRA. • On 11 December 2010, ASEAN Transport Ministers signed the Operational Guidelines
General Information (Cont’) • To Implement the Operational Guidelines, MOT’s Leaders specified the country focal points by which Department of Planning and Investment plays as chair (Collecting data from Bureaus), Department of International Cooperation plays as coordinator, Information Technology Center plays as coordinator (Updating data to ASEAN-Japan Transport Statistics Database)

Common Data Templates Road Transport (Cont’) Summary • Most of Indicators are available for collecting • Data collection from many sources because of decentralization (VRA, VR). • Some of indicators are not available (Code 029 and 030) • There is no data statistics unit inside VRA, All data reported by Department of Science Technology and International Cooperation.

Common Data TemplateAir Transport • Summary • Reporting statistics in the Air transport Industry has been standardized, uniform, consistent with the provisions of the law and practice in the units; • Data reports has not been online,so that it is difficult for sharing information betwwen CAAV and MOT. • Most of indicators in Air transprt common data templates could be collected from multiple reports specified in Circular No 14/2009/TT-BGTVT

CONCLUSION • Ministry of Transport has deployed to implement the Operational Guidelines and templates. • STOM + Japan should submit a schedule of completing common data templates every year. Based on the schedule, each countries will have plan of collecting data from many sources right at the beginning of the year. • If it is posible, JTCA set up web conferencing to make opportunities for others to participate
