  2. Art connects us • With the world • With each other • And with ourselves • Because we all want the same answer to the questions… • Who am I? • What is my purpose ? • Why do we have to suffer?

  3. So together we will connect • With each other • With the world’s teaching • And ultimately with ourselves

  4. We will find these answers by exploring • Archetypes…universal truths • Heroes and Superheroes…those that can save us • Mythology…the mysteries of another dimension • Dante’s Inferno…visions of Hell • Modern novels…we are redefining truth.

  5. Everyday You will need • Pen/ pencil • Paper • A positive attitude • An open mind • A willingness to re-think reality

  6. Rules and pet peeves • Bathroom privileges…go before you come in!!! During class you must sign out and get pass (only one pass, so only one out at a time).don’t take advantage of the freedom I give you. You will be my “prisoner” if you go too often or go somewhere without permission. • You have a seating chart that will change often…be where you belong. • I don’t mind food or drink, but clean up your mess and don’t smack or pop your gum (I have bionic ears…no lie). • Phones and ear buds are out only when I give you permission. • No mean kids allowed in my room…this is my LOVE BUBBLE!!

Together we will • READ the before mentioned genres…and research to enrich our understanding. • WRITE…my job is to get you ready to take your Georgia High School Writing Test when you come back as a junior next fall. • VIEW many modern films, advertisements and documentaries that enrich our understanding of the current topic being explored. • SPEAK with and to the group about…we all must be heard! • LISTEN to me when I’m spouting wisdom (: and to one another…we also must hear from one another to understand each other.
