Credits Received and Attendance • 144 students received full 10 credits • 38 students received 5 credits • 20 students came but did not complete enough course work to receive credits • 202 students attended for at least a full week
Academic Culture • Daily homework percentage was 80-90% • 85 students completed every homework assignment for every day of program • No fights • Opportunity class engaged most struggling learners • Classrooms held clear academic focus
Student Survey Students completed a survey answering questions on a one to five scale with 5 being very true, 1 being not at all true. • The teachers were helpful and well organized- 4.2 • I improved in completing homework this summer- 4.0 • The project inspire activities were fun and engaging- 3.3 • The college tutors helped me prepare for high school- 4.0 • College readiness class helped me understand what it takes to be successful- 3.9
Student Survey • I learned useful study skills that will help me be a better student next year- 4.0 • I made friends who will support me in high school- 3.9 • I am better prepared for high school math classes as a result of this program- 4.1 • The field trips to Stanford University and UC Santa Cruz were helpful- 4.0 • I would recommend the Camelot Summer Institute program to a friend- 4.1

Student Movement Students who would have been placed in intensive Algebra course (3 grades below or more) in the fall: • 6 moved to Algebra I • 5 moved to Strategic (below grade level) • 6 remained in intensive or placed in ELD or Special Ed (5 of which received 5 credits or less) From strategic placement • 33 moved to Algebra I • 14 moved to Geometry • 19 stayed in strategic placement- 18 received 5 units or less
Student Movement Continued From Algebra I placement: • 9 moved to Algebra II • 32 moved to Geometry • 29 stayed in Algebra I, 18 received 5 credits or less From Geometry placement: • 41 moved to Algebra II • 6 remained in Geometry (3 did not pass and other 3 were placed in CSI Alg I)
