Programming Parameters • Homeless youth ages 16-21 eligible • Specific eligibility determined at time based on community needs. • Homeless youth • Pregnant teens • Teen mothers • No sexual offenders • No one with outstanding warrants • Commitment to moving ahead (not a drop-in facility nor an overnight facility) • Commitment for long-term stay (12-18 months)
Requirements for Participants Participation in education (GED or High School) Participation in Life Skill classes, Community service, Personal development planning, Facility sponsored group activities and discussions Employment (if applicable) Rental payment (part or all will be used for personal savings) Obeying Curfew Taking random drug tests Participation in periodic evaluations as to success and achievements
Prohibitions Violence of any kind Gangs, gang friends, gang behavior, gang art or gang dress Weapons, alcohol, drugs or drug paraphernalia Letting others into the complex without staff approval Visitors (unless approved by staff) Smoking (unless in approved areas away from the public) Loitering
Result • Safe environment empowering youth to become stable, productive citizens in our community
