  9. Sin Hurts Christ Physically 39 stripes – nails into hands and feet Mentally “My soul is exceeding sorrowful unto death” “If it be possible, let this cup depart from me.” Spiritually “My God, My God why hast thou forsaken me?”

  10. Sin Hurts Christ Physically “If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.” Hebrews 6:6 Mentally Spiritually

  11. Sin Hurts God Sin is Always Against God Failing others is a sin against God - Matt. 25:45 “Inasmuch as ye did not to one of the least of these…” Acts 9:4 “Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” Gen. 39:9 “How can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?”

  12. Sin Hurts God Sin is Always Against God How much does it hurt ? He was willing to give his Son for our sins. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Christ died for our sins not for his own.

  14. What will you do with your sins ? • Live with them = Live with them eternally • Ignore them = God will ignore you eternally • Get Rid of them = Forgiven Sin hurts now and eternally
